LIFETIME LEARNING FOR AUTISM
Rapid Prompting Method
Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) is an educational method developed by Soma Mukhopadhyay. "RPM is a method that empowers a student with the means to express his/her learning, understanding, reasoning and thoughts" (Soma Mukhopadhyay). In RPM, the student learns age appropriate subjects using choices and letter boards. With practice, the student will improve purposeful movement and learn to express his/her thoughts.
IN-PERSON LESSONS
The student receives in-person lessons while the parent observes. This helps the parent learn how to teach their child using RPM.
ONLINE LESSONS
The student receives online lessons while the parent sits next to him/her. The parent helps the child respond to questions using a letter board. This is typically done when the parent is familiar with RPM.
TRAVEL CLINIC
If there is a group of families who are interested in their children receiving RPM lessons but are unable to find a practitioner in their area, I am available to travel to their location to have an intensive clinic.
